That one time Manboobz had absolutely no problem with women who forced men to have sex with them not being called rapists.
I like the part where they imply that men were given equal priority in the DBTG campaign, when M/M victims were given one token poster in the second wave of the campaign. It’s one of precisely two feminist initiatives, ever, to address male victims, and it’s never been as first priority. Strangely enough, feminists seem to consistently forget that last part when they’re using it as a defense.
And then there’s the sheer ludicrousness of using the claims of the authority being accused of presenting biased data to defend said allegedly biased data.
Notice how Futrelle doesn’t mention that the famous Genderratic post also provides evidence that the lifetime numbers are unreliable. Nor does he acknowledge that even assuming the lifetime numbers are correct, you’ve still got a lot more female rapists and male victims than conventionally acknowledged, and certainly more than claimed by most feminists.I especially like the part where Futrelle ends the post by going “well, we could be talking about F>Mrapesexual assault if those MRAs weren’t poisoning the well!” when actual attempts to discuss the matter in feminist spaces are almost invariably met with hostility and cries of “derailing”. Once again, a feminist rationalizes the movement’s reluctance to discuss these issues as being MRA’s fault, when feminism and the very website he’s on and created have been the one stigmatizing discussions of F>M issues, even when not by MRAs, and has had no initiatives whatsoever to devote significant attention to female rapists. Not one. If there is one, I’d really like to know about it. I’d also like to know what was preventing feminists discussing the matter before the CDC study, and before MRAs were significant. It’s also nakedly hypocritical coming from a website that’s openly about mockery.*
Remember, saying that a lot more women rape men than most people think is hatred of women. Even when one of the most prominent people saying this is a woman. Manboobz logic, everyone!Bonus: One of the first comments I saw said “Too bad I can’t tell [MRAs] this because they blocked me after I trolled them.” I also like how this nonsense is apparently a bridge too far for even most of the Manboobz regulars, even if they’re using mild, Party-approved language so as not to tick off Comrade Napoleon**.
* This isn’t even the first time Futrelle has claimed to care about these issues in order to further stigmatize MRAs for, he implies, not really caring, or hindering the people who want to talk about it properly.
** 2x Orwell Reference Combo!Post backed up here, in case he tries to edit it or “clarify”.
"Nor does he acknowledge that even assuming the lifetime numbers are correct, you’ve still got a lot more female rapists and male victims than conventionally acknowledged, and certainly more than claimed by most feminists.”
Im sorry if im pestering you, but how is this so?
